About
Soroush Valizadeh, who raps as Hiphopologist, comes from Babolsar in Iran's Mazandaran province and is one of the names tied to the fourth generation of Persian rap. He started out in the underground and never really lost that edge, pairing it with sharp, carefully built lyrics. Tracks like "Ghors" and "Nabz" are the ones that got him noticed across the Persian hip hop scene. The stage name has a story behind it. He's a licensed doctor, and the "ologist" part is a nod to how he studies and picks apart Persian rap culture, almost like a clinician with a specimen. Along the way he has worked with fellow Persian artists including Behzad Leito and Sephr Khalse.
