Rotterdam producer Jack $hirak, real name Julien Willemsen, made a massive impact on Dutch hip hop when he produced the bulk of the 2015 album New Wave for Top Notch, including the chart topping single Drank & Drugs by Lil' Kleine and Ronnie Flex. That record won the Popprijs and took home Edison awards in both the Hip Hop and Album categories, putting $hirak firmly on the map as one of the sharpest beatmakers in the Dutch scene. Since then he has worked with artists like Ali B, Boef, Josylvio and Broederliefde, and stepped further into the spotlight as a solo artist. In 2018 he started releasing his own singles, including Miljonair, which sat at number one in the Dutch Single Top 100 for four weeks. He also launched his own label, Maison $hirak, and in 2021 dropped his debut album Talou, featuring guest appearances from Boef, Lil Kleine and Ronnie Flex. The single UHUH from that project hit number one in the Single Top 100.
