About
Hollow Coves are a Gold Coast based Australian indie folk duo whose rise began in a pretty unlikely way: Louis Tomlinson of One Direction shared their early SoundCloud tracks in 2015, and suddenly the pair were clocking 50,000 plays a day. Ryan Henderson and Matt Carins trade lead vocals and write everything together, and their sound leans into lush harmonies, open landscapes, and a kind of wandering, reflective mood that Billboard once called "stunning." Their 2017 debut EP Wanderlust put them on the map, and their 2019 album Moments drew comparisons to Jackson Browne, Arcade Fire, and early Ben Howard. They built their own studio during the pandemic and self produced the Blessings EP in 2021. Their sophomore album Nothing to Lose arrived in early 2024, made with ARIA winning producer Matt Corby, and earned them Artist of the Year and Release of the Year at the Gold Coast Music Awards. They also opened for the Lumineers and Passenger in 2023, which says plenty about the company they now keep.
