Also known as: Hot Wax
HotWax are a trio out of Hastings whose sound sits somewhere between grunge and post punk, drawing comparisons to The White Stripes, Hole, and Wolf Alice. Tallulah Sim Savage, Lola Sam, and Alfie Sayers formed the current lineup in 2021, and they hit the ground running fast. Critics at Louder Than War described them as deconstructing their grunge roots into a post punk landscape, while The Independent clocked them as part of a wave of young artists reviving 1990s indie rock without having lived through it. After a run of self released singles, the band signed to Marathon Artists and dropped their debut EP A Thousand Times in 2023. That same year they played Reading and Leeds, supported Royal Blood across the UK and North America, and landed a spot on Louis Tomlinson's Away From Home Festival in Italy. Their debut album Hot Shock arrived in March 2025, with the single Tell Me Everything's Alright following later that year.
