About
Hudson Freeman makes the kind of lo fi folk music that sits with you longer than you expect. Based in Brooklyn, he draws on artists like Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver, and that influence shows in the quiet, introspective quality of his songs. Lyrically, he digs into religion, moral uncertainty, friendships that don't last, and the persistent feeling of looking for somewhere to call home. It is intimate, carefully crafted work that fits somewhere between bedroom recording culture and something with a lot more weight to it.
