About
Warren, Michigan's I See Stars have spent nearly two decades carving out their own corner of electronicore, blending synth heavy electronics with post hardcore aggression and screamed vocals in a way that keeps getting heavier. Their 2012 album Digital Renegade marked a real turning point, pushing their sound toward something more abrasive, and then New Demons in 2013 cranked things further by folding in EDM textures alongside that intensity. All six of their studio albums have come out on Sumerian Records, a label that suited their sound perfectly. The band went through some lineup shuffles over the years, notably losing and regaining keyboardist Zach Johnson, before a more significant overhaul in 2015 led to the Treehouse era. After nearly seven years of quiet, I See Stars signaled their return with the single Split in August 2024, and followed that with their sixth studio album The Wheel in September 2025.
