About

Intergalactic Lovers are a Belgian indie rock band from Aalst whose sound gets compared to Feist, PJ Harvey and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, which tells you a lot about the kind of atmospheric, guitar driven music they make. Fronted by vocalist Lara Chedraoui alongside guitarist Maarten Huygens, bassist Raf De Mey and drummer Brendan Corbey, they built their reputation the hard way, winning the Oost Vlaams Rockconcours and Rock Rally De Beloften in 2009 before landing playlist spots on Studio Brussel and Radio 1 with early singles like 'Fade Away' and 'Delay'. Their debut album 'Greetings & Salutations' came out in 2011, self funded and warmly received by outlets like HUMO and De Standaard. That same year they picked up a MIA for Best Breakthrough Band. Their second album 'Little Heavy Burdens' arrived in 2014 via Warner Music, and the band followed it with an ambitious run of shows across Europe, Japan and Russia. They also provided the soundtrack for the Belgian crime film Code 37.
