Few Maltese artists have come close to matching what Ira Losco pulled off at Eurovision 2002, when she finished second with "7th Wonder", the best result Malta had ever seen in the competition. That runner up spot, just 12 points behind the winner, turned her into one of the most recognized names in Maltese music, and she has spent the years since building a catalogue of six studio albums and performing in over 15 countries alongside acts like Elton John, Maroon 5, and Akon. She went back to Eurovision in 2016 with "Walk on Water", a song chosen by an international jury over her original national final entry, and placed twelfth from a field of 26. That same year she marked 15 years in the industry with the double album "No Sinner No Saint". In 2018 and 2019 she sat on the judging panel for X Factor Malta, adding another side to a career that has always been more than just a Eurovision story.
