Green Flame Boys, known in Korean as 초록불꽃소년단, are a South Korean punk rock band whose name comes from an Italian fairy tale. Formed in 2012 by Cho Kicheol and Yang Jeonghyeon, the two had previously crossed paths as members of the band Cheolnam and reconnected at a rock festival. Their 2015 EP She Was Just A Cute Tsubomi gave an early hint of their irreverent sensibility, with its title track written about Japanese adult actress Tsubomi. Their second studio album Greenbridge from 2022 earned them some strong notices, with Visla Magazine praising it as a performance that places the right amount of strength and restraint in exactly the right spots. That momentum carried into 2023 when they took third place at the Pentaport Rock Festival Super Rookie Competition and played the Keunsori Festival alongside a string of other acts. Their third studio album Greenroof followed in 2025, rounding out what is shaping up to be a solid green trilogy.
