Izzy Bizu blends soul, funk, jazz and pop into something that feels both classic and fresh, drawing on Whitney Houston, Ella Fitzgerald and James Brown while clearly having spent time with Amy Winehouse and Adele too. The London based singer songwriter born Isobel Bizu Beardshaw broke through with her 2013 debut EP Coolbeanz, whose lead single "White Tiger" landed at number 3 on the iTunes Soul and RnB Chart and was picked as Zane Lowe's Next Hype. She went on to release her debut album A Moment of Madness in 2016, supported Coldplay, Sam Smith and Rudimental, and won the BBC Music Introducing Award that same year. Beyond her own records, she has popped up as a featured vocalist on Milky Chance's "Bad Things" and on Kungs and David Guetta's "All Night Long". She is now signed to Hi Tea Records, a division of Logan Media Entertainment, where she also works as a music producer. Her 2022 single "Dumb" shows she is still very much active and doing things on her own terms.
