About
Jacob LaVallee is an American pianist, composer, and producer whose work sits squarely in the modern classical space. He studied at Florida State University's College of Music, graduating in 2010, and spent the years that followed licensing compositions for media projects across the world. In 2016 he shifted gears, turning his focus toward a piano driven project that he spent three years developing before putting it out in 2019. That material found a real audience fast: streaming platforms started placing his tracks on instrumental playlists in early 2020, and his independent releases have since reached listeners in the millions. Tracks like "Somewhere in Between," "Sylvan Echoes," and "Dolci Ricordi" give a good sense of the contemplative, unhurried quality that runs through his catalog.
