About
Also known as: Jaquees, Rodriquez Broadnax
Signed to Birdman's Cash Money Records since 2014, Jacquees built his name on smooth, trap infused R&B that sits comfortably between bedroom slow jams and Atlanta street energy. His breakthrough single "B.E.D." went double platinum and set the tone for his debut album 4275, a project that earned a Gold certification. He kept that momentum rolling with "You", another double platinum cut, and his second album King of R&B, which climbed to number 20 on the Billboard 200 and drew praise from Pitchfork for how well his vocals worked alongside his collaborators. He has released four studio albums in total, with Sincerely For You arriving in 2022 and Baby Making following in 2024. His sound pulls from soul, contemporary R&B, and trap, with features over the years from names like Trey Songz, Dej Loaf, Chris Brown, and T.I. He is also known by his real name Rodriquez Broadnax and originally comes from Decatur, Georgia.
