Iggy Pop giving your band a shoutout in an interview is one thing, but Iggy Pop actually endorsing your debut album is something else entirely. That's what happened to Jacuzzi Boys when their 2009 record No Seasons caught his ear, leading to the Miami trio opening for the punk legend himself. The buzz earned them a deal with Hardly Art, the Sub Pop offshoot, where they put out Glazin' in 2011 and a self titled record in 2013, both leaning into their raw, sun baked rock sound. The band then went independent, dropping Ping Pong and the EP Happy Damage in 2016 on their own terms. Since then they've kept things moving with a remix album, a singles compilation, and a steady stream of one off tracks, showing no sign of slowing down.
