About
Also known as: Jaimeson & Angel Blu, Jameson, Jamieson
Best known for two back to back UK top four singles in 2003, Jaimeson is a British garage producer and MC who also moves comfortably through drum and bass and house. His breakthrough came with "True", a collaboration with vocalist Angel Blu that hit number four on the UK Singles Chart in January 2003. He followed it almost immediately with "Complete" featuring Xara, which matched that chart position later the same year, then "Take Control" in early 2004 rounded out a solid run. Behind the scenes he ran his own label and handled his own promotion, and his remix work stretches back to 2001, covering everyone from Jay Z and Destiny's Child to the Streets and the Sugababes. He also released his debut album Think on Your Feet in 2004, and even popped up on a BBC Three documentary that year, spotlighted in an episode called "Grimetime to Primetime".
