About
Jamule is a German rapper with Spanish and Lebanese roots, operating out of the Ruhr area and making the kind of trap inflected German hip hop that hits hard and personal. Signed to PA Sports' label Life is Pain in 2018, reportedly for the largest advance ever paid to a German newcomer, he wasted no time making it count. His single "Ich hol dich ab" broke into the top 10, and then "Unterwegs", a collab with rap production collective KitschKrieg, went all the way to number one on the Official German Singles Chart in September 2020. There is also a remarkable family story in the background: his mother was Maria Serrano Serrano, a member of the Eurodance trio Passion Fruit, who passed away in a plane crash in 2001. That weight and history runs quietly beneath everything Jamule puts out.
