About
Jarreau Vandal, real name Ellroy Jarreau Uyleman, is a Dutch DJ, producer, singer and songwriter whose whole thing is refusing to stay in one lane. His sets and tracks pull from R&B, hip hop, funk, house and electronic music, and he weaves in South African and Moroccan rhythms in a way that feels organic rather than gimmicky. His 2014 debut project, The Jarreau Vandal White Label, landed him on the radar of LA music collective Soulection, and he has been building momentum ever since, picking up a spot on Complex and Jamz Supernova's One to Watch list in 2016. His live show, billed as Jarreau Vandal Live, puts him front and centre on vocals and electronics, often alongside a live drummer, and has taken him to stages like the Montreux Jazz Festival, Amsterdam Dance Event and Warehouse Project. He has scored music for Tommy Hilfiger and Vodafone, and his work has turned up on Beats 1, BBC 1Xtra and Boiler Room. In 2023 he dropped Make You Love Me featuring Zak Abel, showing he is still very much in creative motion.
