About
Also known as: Jaazy B, Jaswinder Singh Bains, Jazzy Bains
Jazzy B, born Jaswinder Singh Bains, has spent over three decades building a reputation as one of the most recognisable voices in bhangra and Punjabi pop. Based in Canada, he released his debut album in 1993 and has since put out 12 studio albums, racking up collaborations with Bollywood stars and international acts alike. His song "Dil Luteya" with Apache Indian remains a fan favourite, and his track "Sat Rangey" even found its way into the background of the Hollywood film Deadpool. He also worked with Snoop Dogg on "Most Wanted", a track that landed on MTV India. His reach goes well beyond music. He was the first South Asian entertainer added to the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame Star Walk in Vancouver, and he has popped up in Punjabi and Bollywood films as an actor too. More recently he featured on AP Dhillon's album The Brownprint, appeared in the Netflix documentary about Yo Yo Honey Singh, and had his song "Coolin" nominated at the 2025 Juno Awards for South Asian Music Recording of the Year.
