About
Fifteen years on the road is no small thing, and Jick Munro & The Amazing Laserbeams from Maastricht have earned every one of them. What started as a group of friends gathering to listen to their favourite music together gradually turned into a full touring life, taking them through bars, clubs, theatres, festival tents and major stages across the Netherlands. Along the way they played Pinkpop, Paradiso, Noorderslag and the Zwarte Cross, a run of venues and festivals that covers just about every corner of Dutch live music. The band plays ragtime, a genre that does not exactly flood the Dutch live circuit, which makes their longevity and the scale of their touring history all the more striking. The energy they bring to a performance has clearly kept audiences coming back, and after a decade and a half the group shows no sign of slowing down.
