About
Job Roggeveen works across several creative worlds at once. As a solo pianist and multi instrumentalist, he composes and performs his own music, and he is the founder and driving force behind Happy Camper, a music project that won an Edison Award. He is also a composer and art director at Job, Joris & Marieke, an animation studio that has received both an Oscar nomination and an Emmy win. In his live work, Roggeveen ranges freely across styles, moving between neoclassical territory, free jazz, and everything in between. His project with woodwind player Edward Capel, called Verwante Stemmen, shows that range well: the two build an entirely instrumental conversation, shifting from dreamy and intimate moments to wild, untethered playing, using a wide array of instruments along the way.
