Half of the Bristol progressive house duo Way Out West, Jody Wisternoff has spent decades shaping the sound of electronic dance music from the underground up. Alongside Nick Warren, he helped define the late 1990s progressive house scene with tracks like "The Gift" and "Ajare", blending Bristol's dub sensibility with driving club beats. Way Out West released their fifth studio album Tuesday Maybe in 2017, proving the project still has plenty to say. As a solo artist, Wisternoff found a natural home on the Anjunadeep label, releasing his debut album Trails We Blaze in 2012 and following it with Nightwhisper in 2020 and Welcome to My World in 2024. He has also been a regular contributor to the Anjunadeep mix compilation series, curating editions from volume five right through to the mid 2020s. On top of that, his remix catalogue stretches across an impressively wide range of artists, from Chicane to Above and Beyond.
