About
John Carter Cash wears a lot of hats, and he wears them well. As a producer, he has worked alongside some serious heavyweights, including Sheryl Crow, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, Elvis Costello, Kris Kristofferson, Emmylou Harris, and Vince Gill. He produced his mother June Carter Cash's album Press On and her Grammy winning Wildwood Flower, and served as associate producer on two of his father Johnny Cash's beloved American recordings, Solitary Man and The Man Comes Around. He runs Cash Cabin Enterprises, a music production company operating out of the Cash Cabin Studio. Beyond the studio, John Carter Cash is also a published author, having written books about both his parents as well as children's books and a novel. He put out his own music as a solo artist and as part of Carter Family III, and spent time in the early 1990s touring with his father as a rhythm guitarist. The creative life is clearly in his bones, and he has built a substantial body of work very much on his own terms.
