Joris Luyendijk is an anthropologist and author whose writing has ranged across the Middle East, the financial world, and social and political topics such as populism. Among his books are Het zijn met mensen, the international bestseller Dit kan niet waar zijn, and De zeven vinkjes. In a guest appearance alongside reed quintet Calefax, he turns his attention to the subject of giftedness, exploring it while the ensemble performs music by composers known for their intricate musical structures, including Bach and Nancarrow.
