Indiana singer songwriter Josie Edwards went from working in a coffee shop to racking up over 43 million Spotify streams on her debut EP, good girls, released in September 2025. The title track went viral almost immediately after release, and the follow up single "high hope" kept the momentum going. Her sound sits in acoustic folk pop territory, built around her vocals and a knack for writing songs that feel personal but pull off broad appeal. Her second EP, Greetings from Bleak Street, dropped in July 2026 to solid critical praise. The non single "Chemical Lights" became a slow burn favourite, with one reviewer noting how the piano ballad builds from something quiet into something close to anthemic. Shortly after the EP landed, she was called up last minute to support Twenty One Pilots at All Points East, sharing the bill with Gang of Youths, Bbno$, and Jessie Murph. Playing with a band she had only just met, she won over a crowd that by all accounts was clapping and dancing along well before the headliners took the stage.
