About
Jule Dijkshoorn is a pianist from Leusden who blends classical performance with personal storytelling. His repertoire spans the sweeping emotional range of Rachmaninov and the delicate, dreamlike textures of Debussy, and he has a gift for contextualising the music he plays, sharing what the pieces meant to their composers and what they mean to him personally. His debut concert at Theater De Tuin saw him performing solo as well as in a small ensemble alongside two guest musicians, with Liszt's Liebestraum No. 3 serving as a centrepiece. The combination of intimate classical programming and candid spoken reflection gives his performances a warmth that goes beyond a straightforward recital.
