About
Singer and actor Julián Fontalvo built his career around a remarkable gift: the ability to inhabit the voices of other artists with uncanny precision. His solo show The Imitator sees him portray around seventy different performers, moving through voices as varied as Sting, Bob Marley, David Bowie, Amy Winehouse and Tina Turner, weaving them into a larger personal narrative about his path from South America to New York and Europe. The show has taken him to more than sixty cities across twenty three countries, and his audiences have included celebrities such as Michael Douglas and Anne Hathaway. Tennis legend Rafa Nadal personally invited him to perform at his wedding. Fontalvo has appeared in major Spanish productions of musicals including We Will Rock You, Monty Python's Spamalot and Avenue Q, and picked up the Best International Show prize at the United Solo Festival in New York.
