Jvcki Wai has carved out a distinct space in South Korean hip hop by speaking openly about the prejudices female rappers face in the scene, a stance that's shaped both her persona and her music. She released two EPs before signing to Indigo Music in 2018, then dropped her debut studio album Enchanted Propaganda that same year. The single "Dding", a collab with Yang Hong won, Osshun Gum, and Han Yo han, picked up serious critical praise in early 2019. After parting ways with Indigo Music, she teamed up with Coogie, Paloalto, The Quiett, and Bassagong on "Fadeaway", a track that went on to win Collaboration of the Year at the Korean Hip hop Awards in 2021. She has since signed to AOMG, one of South Korea's most respected hip hop labels, which puts her in strong company for whatever she does next.
