About
Named after Linda Kasabian, the Charles Manson associate turned key witness, this Leicester band have always had a taste for the dramatic, and their music backs it up. Eight studio albums in, their sound pulls together stone cold indie rock grooves, psychedelic swirl and dance floor muscle, drawing comparisons to The Stone Roses and Primal Scream with a hefty dose of Oasis swagger thrown in. "Club Foot" from their 2004 debut remains a live staple, and headlining Glastonbury in 2014 cemented their reputation as one of Britain's great live acts, a claim backed up by NME Best Live Act wins in 2007 and 2018. Guitarist and songwriter Sergio Pizzorno has long been the band's creative engine, and when frontman Tom Meighan departed in 2020, Pizzorno stepped up to the mic full time. The catalogue runs from the raw energy of the debut through to The Alchemist's Euphoria in 2022 and Happenings in 2024, with Pizzorno firmly steering the ship.
