About
Also known as: Jacek Świtalski, Kaz A.K.A. Bałagane, Mati Bagłajane
Kaz Bałagane raps about the darker corners of city life, but he does it with a grin. His songs lean on dark humor and offbeat lyrics, and he's a natural storyteller who packs his verses with sharp wordplay and vivid scenes. The contrast is what makes him stand out. Instead of gritty, heavy beats, he picks soft, melodic instrumentals, so the music sounds smooth while the words go to some bleak places. Born in Warsaw, he writes from that urban background, and his urban storytelling is the thread running through everything he does.
