About
KD Soundsystem is a multi member crew from Haarlem that blends dancehall, Brazilian funk and afrobeats into their own productions. The core of the group is built around DJ/producer duo The Teacher and Addik, with hypeman MC Power, lead vocalist Zoë, dancer Samira and MC Djinti rounding out a lineup that turns their shows into full scale, high energy performances. They have toured extensively, taking in Europe, the UK, West Africa, Jamaica and Brazil, and have sold out a show at Amsterdam's Paradiso along the way. Tracks like 'Summertime (remix)', 'rise up di youth' and 'respect di gyal' give a good sense of where their sound is headed: colourful, globally influenced and always built for the dancefloor.
