Few rappers have climbed as fast as Ken Carson. The Atlanta MC, born Kenyatta Lee Frazier Jr., signed to Playboi Carti's Opium label back in 2019, becoming its first ever signee, and has been one of the most talked about names in the rage and trap scene ever since. His sound sits right at that intersection of hypnotic production and icy delivery, and his 2022 album X put him on the Billboard 200 at number 115 before he followed it up with the deluxe version XTENDED later that year. His third album A Great Chaos landed in October 2023 and shot straight to number eleven on the Billboard 200, a serious leap from where he started. Along the way he has worked closely with labelmate Destroy Lonely, contributed production to Lil Uzi Vert's Pink Tape, and shown up on records from Yeat and SoFaygo. The track Yale from his early EP Teen X remains a fan favorite and a solid introduction to what he does.
