About
Kids Live Concert is a showcase for young musicians from the Peel en Maas area, put together by the local youth orchestras. It has grown into a recurring event, with the orchestras taking the stage together in DOK6 for the sixth time. The idea is simple: bring several youth ensembles together for one big afternoon concert rather than a string of small separate performances. The programme is deliberately varied, and the players bring a lot of enthusiasm to it. Different groups team up across editions, including Jeugdfanfare Eendracht from Baarlo, who joined in under the direction of Marco van Lier. Guest musicians usually sit in as well, so the line up shifts a bit from year to year while the focus stays on young players and a lively mix of music.
