About
King Ayisoba is a Ghanaian traditional musician from the Upper East Region, known for a sound built around the kologo, a traditional string instrument. His real name is Albert Apoozore, and he has carved out a distinct style that sets him apart from the crowd. He's put out a steady run of studio albums over the years: Modern Ghanaians in 2006, Africa in 2008, Don't Do The Bad Thing in 2012, Wicked Leaders in 2014, 1000 Can Die in 2017, and Work Hard in 2023. The titles alone give you a feel for where his head's at, with plenty of attention on the state of things. Before going solo, he used to play and sing alongside the late Terry Bonchaka.
