About
Kleutersinfonietta is a joint project from Het Concertgebouw and Amsterdam Sinfonietta, bringing classical music to the very youngest audiences. Their show Stuiterstokken is aimed at children aged four and five and follows a group of musicians who simply cannot sit still. Bows bounce, songs break out spontaneously, and the kids in the audience are invited to join in too. The story revolves around a competition to see whose plant grows the tallest, giving the musicians plenty of reasons to sing, dance, and generally refuse to wait patiently. The music swings between lively and tender, making it a genuinely engaging experience for toddlers and the grown ups alongside them.
