About
Knives Out! are an American alternative metal band that punches harder than most of their members' other projects. The lineup pulls together players from Dog Fashion Disco, Hellyeah, Nothingface, and Polkadot Cadaver, and that pedigree shows: vocalist Todd Smith and guitarist Jasan Stepp have both worked in the quirkier Dog Fashion Disco and Polkadot Cadaver, but Knives Out! deliberately goes heavier than either of those acts. They got started in 2008, put out the four track EP The Rough Cuts in 2010, then followed it with their full debut Black Mass Hysteria on Valentine's Day 2012, released through their own label Razor to Wrist Records. The song Blood Everywhere got a proper music video treatment, while Robot Babylon received a lyric video.
