About
Also known as: Ashley Afamefuna Nwachukwu, Ashley Nwachukwu
Knucks built his reputation the slow and steady way, grinding out singles and mixtapes from Kilburn before breaking through with 'Los Pollos Hermanos' in 2021, a track named after the fictional fast food chain from Breaking Bad that went on to earn a Platinum certification. His debut album Alpha Place, released in 2022, brought in Stormzy, M1llionz and Youngs Teflon among others, and later got a deluxe edition packed with extra material. The record sits comfortably across grime, hip hop, drill and jazz rap, which gives it a texture that sets Knucks apart from a lot of his peers. Before the album era, he released the EP NRG 105 in 2019 as a tribute to his late manager Nathan Rodney, featuring Wretch 32 and earning a Silver BPI certification for the closing track 'Home'. His follow up EP London Class took inspiration from a Korean TV series, which tells you something about where his head is at. His second studio album A Fine African Man arrived in late 2025, continuing a run that shows no signs of slowing.
