About
Also known as: Kn0wl3dge, Kn?lw?d?, Knowledge, Knx, Knx., ҜИЖЩLΞDGΞ, ∆bdul-∆liim.
Knxwledge has quietly built one of the most prolific underground catalogs in hip hop, racking up over 200 releases on Bandcamp since 2009. The New Jersey producer, now based in Japan, blends jazz, soul, old school hip hop, and modern rap into a distinctly hazy, lo fi sound that feels lived in from the first listen. His 2015 Stones Throw debut Hud Dreems put him on a lot of radars, but arguably his biggest mainstream moment came the same year when he produced "Momma" for Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly, the album that won Best Rap Album at the Grammys. As one half of NxWorries with Anderson.Paak, he helped shape the duo's soulful, warm groove across Link Up & Suede, the widely loved Yes Lawd!, and the 2024 follow up Why Lawd?. He has also collaborated with Earl Sweatshirt, Roc Marciano, Action Bronson, and Mach Hommy, turning up in some of the most interesting corners of rap without ever losing his signature hazy aesthetic.
