About
Also known as: Bill Israel, Bill K. Kapri, Bill Kahan Kapri, Dieuson Octave, Kodak
Kodak Black built his reputation out of Pompano Beach, Florida, with a raw trap sound that caught serious attention well before the mainstream caught up. His 2014 track "No Flockin" eventually became a sleeper hit on the Billboard Hot 100, and "Tunnel Vision" in 2017 pushed him to a peak of number six on that same chart. His debut album Painting Pictures hit number three on the Billboard 200 that year, but it was Dying to Live in 2018 that put him at the top of the chart entirely. That album's single "Zeze", featuring Travis Scott and Offset, climbed to number two on the Hot 100 and earned sextuple platinum certification, making it his biggest song to date. His 2021 single "Super Gremlin" kept him firmly in the conversation, peaking at number three. He has since released music on both Atlantic and Capitol Records, with several albums across those deals.
