About
Based in Utrecht, Koor Kwaya started out as a student choir and has since grown into a tight knit group of more than fifty young members. Over ten years of performing, they have built a reputation that stretches well beyond the city. What sets them apart is the range: their repertoire moves freely between world music and contemporary pop, so no two shows feel the same. On stage they perform with a live band, which gives the whole thing an energy closer to a gig than a choir concert. The vibe is celebratory and physical, the kind of music that makes you want to move and sing along before you have even decided to.
