About
Also known as: KOVEN, Koven.
London duo Koven, producer Max Rowat and vocalist Katie Boyle, have carved out a serious reputation in drum and bass and dubstep while showing a genuine willingness to roam across trap, future bass, house, and pop. Their debut album Butterfly Effect, released in 2020 on Monstercat, earned a nomination for Best Album at the Drum and Bass Arena awards, and a deluxe edition followed in early 2021 with new tracks and remixes from the likes of The Prototypes and Fox Stevenson. They have played Tomorrowland, Glastonbury, and Reading and Leeds, which puts them firmly in the festival circuit's upper tier. Since 2018, Boyle has been the sole live presence, holding things down with a hybrid DJ set and live vocals while Rowat steps back due to travel anxiety. The duo kept momentum going with the two part Higher Ground EP across 2022 and 2023, then linked up with Steve Aoki for the single Nervous System in late 2024, which became the lead track on their second album Moments In Everglow, released in 2025 via Monstercat.
