Kurd Maverick, born Cihan Ötün, is a Kurdish German house producer and DJ who has been shaping dancefloors since the mid 2000s. His productions lean into that driving, feel good house sound, and his remix work across that era is impressively wide ranging, covering everyone from Basement Jaxx and the Pet Shop Boys to Robbie Williams and Boy George. His original singles like Let the Freak Out and Shine a Light built his reputation as a reliable force in European house, often teaming up with collaborators like Eddie Thoneick and vocalist Terri B. More recently he linked up with Hugel on PYHU (Put Your Hands Up), showing he has kept his foot firmly on the gas well into the 2020s.
