About
Laat Me is a Dutch theatrical concert act built around vocalist duo Pim Muda and Sabine Krol, who together perform an intense tribute to the legendary pairing of Ramses Shaffy and Liesbeth List. Pim Muda takes on Shaffy's parts with a raw, tender and impassioned delivery, while Sabine Krol brings the emotional clarity and focus that made Liesbeth List such a compelling counterpart to Shaffy. Their voices together recreate the rare tension that made the original duo so unforgettable. The repertoire draws on the heart of the Dutch chanson tradition, including classics such as Laat me, Pastorale, Zing vecht huil bid lach and Shaffy Cantate. On stage they are backed by a live orchestra with a full string ensemble. The show was put together by Peter Groot Kormelink Producties and moves through themes of longing, freedom, surrender and humour, with theatrical elements that shed new light on the music and its lyrics.
