About
Also known as: Karim Zenoud, La Crim
Two albums, Corleone in 2014 and Force & Honneur in 2017, both went straight to number one on the French albums chart, which tells you most of what you need to know about Lacrim's standing in French rap. The Paris rapper, born Karim Zenoud, built his name through collaborations before putting out his debut album Faites entrer Lacrim in 2012, followed by the mixtape Toujours le même later that year. He also runs the R.I.P.R.O mixtape series, with a second chapter arriving in 2015 and a third in 2017. Corleone brought him a hit in France with "Mon glock te mettra à genoux", and the single "Traîtres" hit number one there too. His career has been tangled up with legal trouble, including a stretch in prison that ended in late 2016, but the music kept landing on top of the charts regardless.
