About
Left Lane Cruiser run on raw, stripped back blues rock with a sound rooted in North Mississippi Hill country blues, the same gritty tradition that produced much of the Fat Possum Records roster. The Fort Wayne duo of Joe Evans IV on slide guitar and vocals and Brenn Beck on drums keeps things lean and loud, with a style built on heavy rhythm, thick guitar riffs, and unconventional song structures. Signed to Alive Records in 2007, they put out their debut Bring Yo' Ass to the Table in early 2008 and have kept building from there. Their album All You Can Eat got a notable boost when the track "Waynedale" turned up in Breaking Bad, season 3. The fourth record brought in John Wesley Myers, keyboard player for the Black Diamond Heavies, adding a little extra muscle to their already no frills sound.
