Leith Ross is the kind of songwriter who turns quietly devastating observations into songs people feel personally called out by. Their track "We'll Never Have Sex" went viral on TikTok in 2021, racking up over 41 million Spotify streams, and earned praise from fellow musicians and queer listeners alike for its unflinching vulnerability. Signed to Interscope and Republic Records in 2022, Ross picked up the inaugural John Prine Songwriter Fellowship at the Newport Folk Festival that same year. Their debut album To Learn landed in May 2023 and scored a Juno Award nomination for Alternative Album of the Year. Ross's indie folk sound draws frequent comparisons to Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus, and their lyrics dig into queerness, anxiety, and the messiness of relationships with a precision that NME described as a voice for their generation. They followed up with a second album, I Can See the Future, released in 2025.
