About
Lenny Jay builds entire shows around the music of Michael Jackson, working as a tribute act that goes well beyond a handful of hits. The setlist covers the big ones: "Billie Jean", "Beat It", "Thriller", "Smooth Criminal", "Black or White", "Dirty Diana", "Earth Song", "You Are Not Alone" and "Man in the Mirror". The aim is to rebuild Jackson's stage world, so the choreography, the outfits and the visuals get as much attention as the songs. What sets Lenny Jay apart, according to the promotional material, is how closely he resembles the original, in looks, voice and presence on stage. The Jackson family is said to have praised him for exactly that. His production is called This Is Lenny Jay's Michael.
