About
Born in Amsterdam while his father, bassist Jerry 'Wyzard' Seay, was touring Europe with Mother's Finest, Leven Kali grew up to become one of the more quietly essential figures in contemporary R&B. His fingerprints are on some of the biggest projects of the past decade, including Beyoncé's Renaissance, Drake's More Life, and Playboi Carti's self titled mixtape, most notably as co writer of the Renaissance standout 'Virgo's Groove'. As a solo artist signed to Interscope, he put out Low Tide in 2019 and followed it up with HIGHTIDE in 2020, building a reputation as a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi instrumentalist all in one. He works closely with collaborators Daniel Memmi and Solomon 'Sol Was' Cole, a crew that formed through a high school music program and has since made its mark well beyond it. His 2022 Let It Rain EP kept things moving, and there is plenty more in the pipeline.
