LFrQx

About

LFrQx, short for Low Frequencies, is a five piece band from Leiden that mixes electro rock with downtempo and trip hop. The comparison that gets thrown around is Royksop meets Nova Star, which gives you a decent idea of the moody but driving sound they go for. Their debut album, Fallin' Trees, is built on electronic textures. Live, though, things get rawer and more organic, thanks to drummer Emiel and keyboardist Wim, who help turn those electronic sounds into something with real rock muscle. So the recorded and the live versions of LFrQx feel a bit different, and the stage is where the rock side really comes out.
