Blueberry Faygo is the song that put Lil Mosey on the map for most people, peaking at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 after leaking on Spotify and going viral before it even had an official release. The Seattle rapper, born Lathan Moses Stanley Echols, had already built a following with his 2017 debut single Pull Up, which went gold and landed him a deal with Interscope Records. His album Certified Hitmaker cracked the top 15 on the Billboard 200, and the Gunna collab Stuck in a Dream showed his knack for hooky, melodic trap. Mosey works in the space where pop rap and trap blur together, keeping things light and catchy without losing his West Coast edge. After parting ways with Interscope, he signed a distribution deal with Cinq Music Group and kept releasing independently, dropping his EP Love U Forever in 2024 along with a string of standalone singles.
