About
Also known as: Lina Maria Hedlund
Lina Hedlund is probably best known as part of the Swedish pop trio Alcazar, which she joined in 2007 after the group went through a lineup shake up. Her very first gig with them was at the legendary G A Y nightclub in London, and she hit the ground running with the single "We Keep On Rockin". Before Alcazar, she had already been making moves as a solo artist, releasing the single "Lady Bump" in 2003 and competing in Melodifestivalen, Sweden's beloved song contest, both as a solo act and alongside her sister Hanna. She has returned to Melodifestivalen multiple times over the years, with Alcazar in 2009, 2010 and 2014, and then back as a solo competitor in 2019 with "Victorious", which carried her all the way to the final. Off stage, she has shown a flair for presenting too, having hosted the musical gameshow Copycat Singers on TV3 and later fronted Melodifestivalen 2020 alongside David Sundin and Linnea Henriksson.
