Formed in Sundsvall, Sweden back in 1987, Lion's Share have spent decades as one of heavy metal's most quietly resilient acts. Guitarist Lars Chriss is the one constant through it all, holding the band together across countless lineup changes that have seen alumni go on to play with King Diamond, HammerFall, Therion, and Treat, among others. The band relocated to Stockholm and built a catalog stretching from their 1995 self titled debut through Dark Hours in 2009, covering ground across heavy and power metal with serious commitment. After years of singles and covers, including a Motörhead tribute and takes on David Bowie and Amy Stewart, Lion's Share came back hard with Inferno in 2026. Recent videos for tracks like Pentagram and We Are What We Are show the band still swinging with purpose, and there is clearly no sign of them winding down anytime soon.
